The interior design for Freshwater involved a complete transformation of the existing home into a contemporary luxe coastal villa. With stunning views north over Curl Curl beach, the clients brief was to create a relaxed ambience that matched their daily lifestyle with quality finishes that gave an elevated, sophisticated space for entertaining.

The re-planning of the home focused the kitchen, living and master suite rooms towards the seaside vista, with open plan spaces that invited the outdoors in, through the specification of large scale sliding stacking glass door panels. On the ground level micro-cement floors in white, provided a light, low maintenance finish for sandy feet.

The dramatic dark kitchen is the focal point of the home, transitioning seamlessly to the terrace and outside entertaining area and kitchen. The brescia green marble used in kitchen island and master bathroom, evokes a connection to the deep blue ocean beyond. The overall material palette is relaxed and refined, with natural materials including natural oak timbers and travertine stone.
