The brief for our Northbridge project required to update and refinish the facade and outdoor zones of our clients home. The exisiting facade featured a flat painted render finish and facing north-east to the water, the front facade was very exposed to harsh sunlight and coastal winds. Our upgrade proposes to create privacy and provide personality to the exterior through textured materials, layering and operable screening devices, making the front outdoor terrace areas usable spaces.

For the rear entertaining area, our brief was to create a more functional, connected and warm ambience. An outdoor kitchen, protected by an operable pergola was added adjacent to the undercover dining area. Recessed ceiling heaters and fans were added to make the area all weather. The pool was upgraded with new tiling, and a gazebo seating and storage area was created beside the pool. The small grassed area was converted into a basketball half court, with artificial turf providing a low maintenance option.
